Okay, the morals are so inverted today that what was once an evil is now a good thing. It is like that with so many things today. I feel very isolated at times in life. Even at my church, I am disgusted. Not at our priest, he is awesome and I wish we more like him...but the core parishoners who seem to run the show are really a nasty group of people. The foul language and attitude is horrifying to hear and see. My hubby and I have decided to stay as far away from these people as possible. They do not want to change, nor try, but conitnue to belittle father behind his back, cuss openly, gossip and back stab. Yikes!
All I can do at this point is pray for them and support father in his efforts to give us the best testimony and services possible. Sinners we all are, but to enjoy it is another thing. Satan is alive in our church and reveling in his conquest. WE have backed way off of doing service in our church groups. So we are doing community service elsewhere and have met some awesome people in doing so. We like being around people who worship Jesus openly, support their priest or pastor, and who at least try to be better Christians and confess their sins with true regret.
I know this sounds very righteous--the prideful kind...however, why should we continue to subject ourselves to this behavior? We must love the sinner and hate the sin...yet I will only subject myself to such nonsense as little as possible. You can't force a horse to drink, but I can try to be a good example.
So, teaching/subbing is coming to a close soon. Then we have lots of ATV rides coming up and other community service charities to attend. I hope to be tutoring this summer as well. Blessings, Ely
